In view of this, the Odisha government has launched the e-district portal. In this portal, different types of services are being provided to government citizens. Any citizen can now apply online for any certificate such as caste, residential, income, etc., sitting at home. One can easily apply for any service from this portal. To use this portal, citizens have to first register and then they can take advantage of all the services available in this portal.

How to register at e-district odisha ?
If you want to apply for any certificate or other service in the e district Odisha portal, then for this you must first register in this portal. Then you will be able to use all the services of this portal. So let’s know how to register yourself in this portal?
After that, you will have to log in. (If you have not registered, register by following the above steps.).
After logging in, click on “Apply for services” and then click on “View all available services“.
Now you have to search for Caste Certificate and then click on it.
Now the caste certificate form will appear in front of you.
Enter all the information in it and upload the required documents.
Now submit the final application.
At the end, you will see an application id on the screen. Print or save it.
How to Apply for Nivas Praman Patra / Resident Certificate ?
For this, first, you have to go to the official website of eDistrict Odisha.
After that, you will have to log in. (If you have not registered, register by following the above steps.).
After logging in, click on “Apply for services” and then click on “View all available services“.
Now you have to search for Resident Certificate and then click on it.
Now the Resident certificate form will appear in front of you.
Enter all the information in it and upload the required documents.
Now submit the final application.
In the last, you will see an application id on the screen. Print or save it.

After submitting the application, you will receive an acknowledgment receipt. Keep this receipt safe as it may be needed for future reference. If you have applied for a certificate through this portal and you want to check its status, then we are telling you some simple steps for this.
For this, first you have to go to the official website of E district Odisha.
After that on the homepage, click on Application status under the Quick Links section.
Now a new window will open. Here you have to enter your reference number and then click on Submit.
Now the status of your application will appear in front of you.
A citizen can apply for a Service through following ways:
Online – Citizen can apply for a service online by registering (Once only). After registration username and password can be generated. Click on Login link and use username and password to access the application form.
CSC – Citizen may contact any CSC for applying the service.
How to track my application status online?
You can track your application status by the following ways: ■ To get the status of application, click on “Check Your Application Status” button on the Home page. ■ You can also check the application status using your credentials (username and password). Click on Login on Home page and enter the credentials. Once you logged in, click on “Track Application Status” link provided under “View Status of Application“.
How can I take a print of my issued e-Certificate?
You can print your issued certificate in the following ways: ■ Click on login button placed on top right of the home page. Use your credentials (username and password) and login to the system. ■ Click on View Status of Application –> Track Application Status under Menu. ■ Click on Current Status –> Delivered against the Application Reference No. ■ A pop up window named “Application Form Details” will be displayed. Scroll down and Click on “Output Certificate” link. ■ The desired e-Certificate will be displayed on the screen. You can take the print now.
How can one verify the issued e-Certificates?
Once can verify the issued e-Certificates by the following steps: 1. Click on “Verify your Certificate” button on the Home page. 2. Enter the application reference number and token number printed on the certificate. 3.Click on “Download Certificate”. The certificate gets downloaded if the entered values are correct.

Is Caste certificate is necessary for Everyone??
Yes, if you are belong to minority group want to benefits from government programmes designed specifically for them. The caste certificate makes no difference to the general class. You must,however,have it if you are from a lower socioeconomic class.
